Hey BARS Family!
This summer, we expanded the dodgeball offerings from previous seasons. And this fall, we’re expanding even more! More nights of play, new locations, and continued growth within our Women, Trans, & Non-Binary (WTNB) Division on Tuesdays. See below for all the details!
With so many days of dodgeball, there is a league for everyone! Whether you're a seasoned pro or just starting out, our leagues are the perfect place to have a great time in a social, supportive environment!

SUNDAY – SMALL BALL
We wanted to give y’all a weekend option this fall!
SUNDAY LEAGUE DETAILS:
Dates: September 17 – November 12 (7 weeks of matches)
Time: 4:00 pm – 7:30 pm (20 minute games)
Where: Village Community School, Upper Gym; 272 W 10th St, New York
Price: $100
Notes: Vet Status is determined by Tuesday Dodgeball Summer 2023 attendance. All eligible players will get an email before registration with instructions. Dates, times, and locations are subject to change due to weather, court, or venue availability.

Pre-Registration for Women, Trans & Non-Binary players: Tuesday, September 5 @ 6pm (until 5pm on Wednesday, September 6)
Veteran Registration: Wednesday, September 6 @ 6pm (until 5pm on Thursday, September 7)
Open Registration begins at 6pm on Thursday, September 7!

MONDAY LEAGUE DETAILS:
Dates: October 2 – November 20 (no games on Oct 9; 7 weeks of matches)
Time: 7:00 pm – 10:00 pm (15 minute games)
Where: Hartley House; 413 W 46th St, New York
Price: $100

In addition to our regular Open Division, we have our hugely popular Women, Trans, & Non-Binary (WTNB) Division on Tuesday nights (there will be two separate options at registration to choose from).

Time: 7:30 pm – 10:00 pm

THURSDAY – SMALL BALL TOURNEY
BRING YOUR OWN TEAM!
On Thursdays this fall, you get to play with your own small ball team! Sign up with a team (a roster of 8-12 people, with at least 2 WTNB players), or sign up as a free agent and get placed on a team.
THURSDAY LEAGUE DETAILS:
Dates: October 5 – November 16 (7 weeks of matches)
Time: 7:00 pm – 10:00 pm (20 minute games)
Where: Hartley House; 413 W 46th St, New York
Price: $1,200 per team or $100 per free agent

FRIDAY – OPEN PLAY
SMALL BALL, BIG BALL… AND MORE!
In addition to our regular seasons, we’re continuing open play (and moving it to Friday) this fall! Though it’ll always center small ball and/or big ball, we will be trying out different ball types throughout the fall; we’ll be testing both cloth and foam dodgeballs, so you don’t want to miss out!
Our open plays are open and accessible to everyone! From a seasoned dodgeball pro to a person wanting to try dodgeball out before committing to a full season, this is a great opportunity to hone your skills, have some fun, and meet folks in our league!
FRIDAY OPEN PLAY DETAILS:
Time: 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Where: John Jay College of Criminal Justice (Haaren Hall, 4th Floor), 524 West 59th Street, New York
Notes: John Jay requires a valid form of ID to enter the venue.
FRIDAY OPEN PLAY REGISTRATION INFO:
We’re finalizing our contract with John Jay (the ink should be dry in the next week). We’ll send out more info to our fall dodgeball players when the dates are locked in. If you aren’t planning on signing up for a fall league – but you want to stay informed about open play – please email dodgeball@bigapplerecsports.com to get added to the open play email list.
Everyone must register before each night of open play. There is a limited number of spots each week, so entry is first-come, first-served.
