Registration will remain open until September 15. If we have spots for more teams remaining, we will keep their product pages open until one day prior to the event.

Please note that we cannot guarantee Classic-branded swag to anyone that registers after September 15.

You are welcome to register for multiple sports during the Classic, but be aware that with the exception of Bowling, most of the tournaments overlap on time and date. (Now, if you’ve mastered the art of being in two places at once, we’d love to hear more. 🪄)

• Bowling: 7 players
• Dodgeball: 8 players
• Kickball: 15 players
• Pickleball: 2 players (4 for our MLP Division)

Due to the charitable nature of the Big Apple Sports Classic, we are unable to offer refunds once a player has registered.

You do not. However, some divisions include roster requirements that limit the number of straight-identifying players allowed per team. We do ask you to be mindful of the fact that Big Apple Recreational Sports (BARS)—the group running the Classic—is a LGBTQ+ organization. We ask allies that join as part of a team or as free agents to be mindful of this fact, and to be accommodating and cognizant of the needs of their LGBTQ+ teammates and competitors.

The Big Apple Sports Classic follows the Terms of Participation set forth by its parent organization, BARS. The anti-harassment policy is contained within. In addition to this, please see BARS’s Harassment, Discrimination, and Anti-Bullying Policy.

BARS prioritizes the health and safety of its players. In addition to this, we recognize that New York City residents and visitors rely on public transportation to move around. As such, in the event of inclement weather, Classic leadership will make a determination about delays or cancellations of individual events as soon as they are able. Enrolled players will receive at least an email notifying them of delays or cancelled tournaments. In addition to this, Classic registrants will be added to a WhatsApp group that will have an Announcements page.
