Big Apple Trivia: Brain Battle

For us at BARS, the brain is a muscle. (Scientists: “It’s not.”) Up to now, we’ve tested your speed, dexterity, and finesse. Now, we’re testing your mind. Dust off that old copy of the Encyclopædia Britannica your grandparents gifted you — it’s time for Big Apple Trivia: BRAIN BATTLE.

Our new event series is a little different from our other sports. Each Trivia competition will be distinct from the previous — allowing players to drop-in as able. With Trivia’s lightweight nature, we look forward to bringing the BARS community to venues all around New York City.

We’ll be charging a small registration fee per player, per event. In addition to funding the prize money, these fees will bolster BARS’s funds so that we can continue to deliver stellar programming athletically and socially. As the city’s largest LGBTQ+ recreational sports org., we’re ensuring we’ll be around a long time, creating a space for community, competition, athleticism, and joy. 😘

Additional Details

• Check-in begins at 7:00 PM; game begins at 7:30 PM
• Registration Fee: $15 PER PLAYER. Each individual must buy a ticket. Just naming your teammates does NOT automatically register that person. They must also register themselves.
• Team Size: 6 players max
• Solo players can be placed into teams upon request
• Seats are available on a first come, first served basis. Teammates may join the game late, but only if they registered on our site ahead of time. New registration at the door is limited and will end once the game begins.
• Answers are submitted via phone, so please have one player come with a fully charged device. Download the Kahoot! app before playing for the best trivia experience. Note: A web-based version can be used in lieu of the app.
