Big Apple Trivia: Brain Battle

For us at BARS, the brain is a muscle. (Scientists: "It's not") Up to now, we've tested your speed, dexterity, and finesse. Now, we're testing your mind. Dust off that old copy of the Encyclopedia Britannica your grandparents left you in their haunted attic — it's time for our 3rd monthly Big Apple Trivia: BRAIN BATTLE (Halloween Edition!).

This month we're taking the battle out of Manhattan and things are bound to get a little spooky. With Trivia's lightweight nature, we look forward to bringing the BARS community to venues all around New York City (Yes, even Queens) from the crypt to the club.

We'll be charging a small registration fee per player, per event. In addition to funding the prize money (I hear the Ghostbusters aren't cheap!), these fees will bolster BARS's funds so that we can continue to deliver stellar programming athletically and socially. As the city's largest LGBTQ+ recreational sports org., we're ensuring we'll be around a long time, creating a space for community, competition, athleticism, and joy. 

Additional Details

• Check-in begins at 7:00 PM; game begins at 7:30 PM (Right as the witching hour approaches).

• Registration Fee: $15 PER PLAYER. Each individual must buy a ticket. Just naming your teammates does NOT automatically register that person. They must also register themselves. A limited number of tickets will be sold at the door until 7:15 PM for $20 

• Team Size: 6 players max. Solo players can be placed into teams upon request.

• Seating: Seats are available on a first come, first served basis. Teammates may join the game late, but only if they registered on our site ahead of time. New registration at the door is limited and will end once the game begins.

• Late-Comers: Teammates may join the game late, but only if they've pre-registered on our site ahead of time. New registration at the door is very limited and will end at 7:15 PM.
  

• Tech Check: Answers are submitted via an app on your phone, so please have one player come with a fully charged device. Download the Kahoot! app before playing for the best trivia experience. Note: A web-based version can be used in lieu of the app. We will provide the venue's WiFi details at check-in.
